This event will welcome more than 5,000 participants. donors, spectators and volunteers locally and over 20,000 in 3 targeted 2016 Walk/Run cities in the U.S., who will raise awareness and funds toward prevention, education, and advocacy initiatives. The Beauty-N-Motion 5k Walk/Run gives supporters and sponsors invaluable exposure in local and national African American communities. Beauty-n-Motion Walk Run 4 Life is the first ever Collaborative Health Prevention Walk Run in the U.S. for Women of Color. National, Regional and Local Women Organizations, Sororities, and Health Outreach Groups will work together to raise awareness and funds for each of their programs as well as partner in providing Preventative Health, Education, and Advocacy Initiatives throughout the year as a team. Together we will connect women with the resources in the communities for much needed prevention care and access to care.

Margo Wade LaDrew has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, consumer promotions, event management and community relations. She began her career in the health & beauty industry with Johnson Publishing Company,(Ebony/Jet) where during her 6 years at JPC, she worked her way up the ranks to Sales Manager for the Supreme Hair Care Division working directly with CEO & Publisher, Mr. John H. Johnson.
She started her own Health & Beauty Broker Sales Business in 1994, Wade &Associates Group which represented major brands such as Dark & Lovely, Johnson Products, Bronner Brothers, Worlds of Curls, Let’s Jam and Posner’s Cosmetics.
Margo served as the National Event & Fundraising Coordinator for the nationally televised NAACP Image Awards for 7 years and was responsible for all of the Special Events, Sponsor Partnerships and Fundraising. Other entertainment clients included The Essence TV Awards, The Black Movie Awards and de Passe Entertainment.
Margo also co-developed the Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program in 2007 and served as the National Events& Program Director which gained national recognition and successfully screened over 30,000 African American Men in 26 cities. Currently she serves as a National Board Member for the National Council of Negro Women, the Diversity Advisory Board for Transitions Optical, Inc., and is the Vice President of the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo – the only national African American rodeo in the world.
